| Presentation Summary: | |
|
The Fukushima accident of 2011 and the emergence of cost-effective wind and solar power delayed many Nuclear Power Plant projects more than 10 years. However, the recent power demands from the Tech Industry for green, always-on power needed for AI processing as well as EV demands has brought much needed investment and interest. In addition, engineering advancements in SMRs (small, modular, nuclear reactors) means nuclear projects can be smaller and installed faster than traditional plants.
John Diehl, GEOVision President was invited to the NRCs Annual Regulatory Information Conference as a subject matter expert to talk about the new developments in Geophysics that can be used for Geotechnical Site Characterization.
In this presentation he will discuss some key takeaways from the conference including the backlog of projects, new technologies and how these new projects could drive geotechnical investigations. |
